ONE THING WORTH UNDERSTANDING

Different arguments. A familiar pattern?

You may find yourselves in the same familiar dance: one person pushes to talk while the other shuts down or pulls away. Unresolved conflict can leave you feeling angry, distant, or unheard by someone you love.

Couples counseling can help you slow that cycle, understand what happens beneath it, and practice new ways to communicate. You can work toward reconnection or clearer choices about what comes next.

YOUR RELATIONSHIP, YOUR GOALS

How can we help?

The Sound Relationship House: build love maps, share fondness and admiration, turn toward each other, take a positive perspective, manage conflict, support life dreams, and create shared meaning, with trust and commitment supporting every level.

Couples counseling makes room for both of you. Dr. Crosse works with you to understand the patterns affecting your relationship and identify what you both want to change.

She uses the Gottman Method, a research-based approach focused on friendship, intimacy, managing conflict, and deeper emotional connection. Its Sound Relationship House framework also explores the meaning and purpose you want to build together.

Your goals guide the work. There is space to be honest, listen to each other, and practice a different kind of conversation.

FROM THE SESSION INTO YOUR DAY

More connection. Clearer choices together.

Your goals may include feeling heard, rebuilding closeness, or deciding what comes next.

  1. Hear both experiences

Describe one disagreement without needing to agree on every detail first.

  2. Notice the exchange

Explore how asking, defending, or withdrawing affects what happens next.

  3. Practice a different conversation

Work toward clearer requests, room to listen, and clarity about your relationship’s next steps.
